Shower remodeling in Aurora and the south Denver metro

For homeowners converting a tub into a walk-in shower, rebuilding an aging shower, or replacing tile and waterproofing during a renovation. LV Tile reviews the existing construction before defining the scope.

Based in Aurora, LV Tile serves Parker, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Englewood, Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Fox Hill, Denver, Commerce City, Denver Tech Center and Cherry Creek.

What a shower remodel can include

The scope can cover the visible tile and the assembly beneath it. What remains, what is removed and which shower details are rebuilt depend on the existing construction and the planned result.

Included in an agreed scope

  • Walk-in showers and tub-to-shower conversions.
  • Shower wall and floor tile using Porcelain, Ceramic, Mosaic, Natural stone, Marble, Glass tile.
  • Project-appropriate waterproofing and shower pan work.
  • Recessed niches, benches, grab bars and glass doors when included in the project.
  • Removal, preparation, tile installation, grout and agreed finishing details.

Outside the confirmed scope

  • Plumbing, electrical and design services.
  • Work outside tile installation, bathroom remodeling, shower remodeling and shower pan repair.
  • A repair or rebuilding decision, fixed price or schedule accepted before the existing shower is reviewed.

How the shower is built

1. Check the existing construction

The base, walls, drain and visible damage are reviewed before choosing repair or remodeling. Conditions beneath the finished surface may affect that scope.

2. Prepare the substrate

Existing finishes are removed as required. Damaged sections are addressed, and the base and walls are prepared for the selected shower system and tile.

3. Install the waterproofing

Schluter, wedi, LATICRETE, or traditional shower liner systems, selected as appropriate for each project. They are alternatives, not layers combined by default. Flood testing is typically performed when applicable.

4. Set tile and finish the details

Tile layout accounts for the pan, corners, niches, fixtures and transitions. Agreed benches, grab bars, glass and finishing details complete the scope.

Tile and grout form the finished surface. A shower also depends on the waterproofing, drainage and preparation beneath that surface.

What affects the estimate

Replacing the visible tile is not always the same scope as rebuilding the shower assembly. The estimate starts with the existing construction and the work required to reach the planned result.

LV Tile provides a free estimate based on that scope, without a generic price that ignores preparation or waterproofing.

  • Existing construction, damage, removal and substrate preparation.
  • Shower dimensions and the selected waterproofing approach.
  • Tile material, dimensions, pattern and cuts around openings.
  • Niches, benches, grab bars, glass and transitions to adjacent finishes.

Timing and protection in your home

Construction time depends on the scope, material availability, repairs and setting or drying requirements. The expected schedule is reviewed after the shower conditions and project details are known.

Estimate turnaround is separate. Simple estimates are usually ready the next day; detailed estimates can take up to about three days.

Self-adhesive protective film is used on carpet, protective paper on hardwood or laminate, and floor-to-ceiling plastic sheeting isolates especially dusty work. On larger projects, filtered dust-extraction or air-filtration equipment is used when necessary.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of shower projects does LV Tile handle?

LV Tile handles walk-in showers, tub-to-shower conversions, shower remodeling and shower pan repair within the confirmed service scope. The existing construction and any damage are reviewed before deciding between repair and rebuilding.

Which waterproofing systems can be used?

Schluter, wedi, LATICRETE, or traditional shower liner systems, selected as appropriate for each project. These are alternatives selected for the project, not systems that are all combined in one shower assembly.

Do you flood-test every shower pan?

Flood testing is typically performed when applicable.

Can a shower use large-format tile?

Yes. The Littleton shower includes 24×48-inch porcelain wall tile, and the Arvada project includes porcelain tile with large-format installations. Suitability and preparation depend on the selected tile and the existing surface.

Can the shower include a niche, bench, grab bar or glass door?

Those details can be included when they are part of the agreed scope. The Littleton project includes a floating bench, centered recessed niche, grab bar and glass door. The Arvada project includes a recessed three-shelf niche.

What affects a shower remodeling estimate?

Cost depends on the shower size, existing construction and damage, preparation, waterproofing system, tile and pattern, and details such as niches, benches and glass. LV Tile reviews the actual scope before providing a free estimate.

How long does a shower remodel take?

There is no single construction timeline. The scope, existing conditions, material availability, repairs and drying requirements affect the schedule. Estimate turnaround is separate: Simple estimates are usually ready the next day; detailed estimates can take up to about three days.

What warranty covers shower remodeling workmanship?

3-year workmanship warranty. Excludes cracking or damage caused by foundation or structural movement and damage from improper tile care or maintenance.
